Update...mom will spend a month with her parents before the next MRI - which will be on Sept. 28th. Also, please join me in wishing her a happy birthday on Sept. 14!

Her MRI last Thursday was stable, so again good news! The clinical trial at Duke is over now because it was for 1 year. She will have another MRI in 2 months, so she will have a break from the chemo. This tumor is the most aggressive type of brain tumor, however Dr. Rich at Duke said that since they have been actively treating it for a year now that it should not grow as quickly as if they had not.

The Race for Research in Atlanta went very well this year, raising $150,000! That is more than double what we raised last year. My team won the 5th place team for fund raising - thank you so much to everyone who helped make that happen! Mom had a great time cheering on the team and staying with me for a week here in Atlanta.
